Posthumous Achievements and Recognition
- Ivan Garikow's painting Joy of Liberty, which is approx. 7' x 18', was considered for use at the refurbishment of Ellis Island, NYC with the assistance from former Senator Paula Hawkins, the Honorable Bob Graham, and the United States Department of Interior
.
- His painting Peter the Great on Mounted Steed which is approx. 8' x 5' was considered for use in the filming of 'Peter the Great' a film shot in Europe, starring Omar Sharif and Vanessa Redgrave.
- Diane Leskow, former Art Director of the St. Petersburg, FL Fine Arts Museum offered to exhibit his works in a one-man show; however, it was a three year wait and therefore declined.
- Lucia Mercer-Graham, builder of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, DC; whose academic credits including Columbia, Harvard and Moscow University in Russia, rated one third of Garikow's work as 'Top Shelf.'
